Melinda Bremley, Ph.D. - Melinda brings over 20 years of professional consulting experience to the Bremley Partners team. She has had the opportunity to work with a distinguished list of clients on a variety of initiatives. Melinda has extensive experience helping organizations set up and maintain strong, predictive assessment systems. The assessment processes vary based on the level of complexity of the work and are used for selection and/or development needs.  In addition, she has had the opportunity to coach executives at numerous phases of their careers. A growing area of business for Melinda has been the CEO/President performance feedback process. She also partners with organizations to create effective performance management systems.

Melinda Bremley’s research interests include the analysis of personality, leadership, and problem-solving skills and their impact on executive success. She also has researched the cognitive processing involved in performance appraisal, and characteristics of information that influence judgments. She has been published in a variety of journals and has presented at numerous conferences and universities on such topics as well as other areas of expertise. She is an adjunct professor for Villanova University where she teaches graduate students in the human resources development program.

Ronald Harris Bordelon, MS, PHR, CPM

Ronald Bordelon is Deputy Superintendent and Chief Facilities Officer for the Louisiana Department of Education Recovery School District, responsible for all aspects of the largest school disaster recovery program in US history. As former Chief Executive of a privately-held real estate development firm, and appointment by the Governor of Louisiana to the State Board of Commerce and Industry, Ron brings a unique blend of both public and private sector approaches to organizational development.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development from Villanova University, and is ABD earning a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Organizational Development from the Indiana Institute of Technology. Ron recently presented at international conferences in London, United Kingdom, Montreal, Canada, and San Diego, California. Ron developed both Corporate Facility Planning and Commercial Financing Strategy curriculums as part of a Master of Real Estate program, and is a former alumni member of the Villanova Student Advisory Council.


David Bush, PhD – Dr. Bush is the founding Director of Villanova University’s Master of Science in Human Resource Development program. He also serves as a Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Development at Villanova, and his professional and academic specialization involves developing HR metrics for evaluating talent and performance. A respected teacher, researcher, consultant and speaker, Dr. Bush has 30 years of experience working with change management in industries ranging from pharmaceuticals and chemicals to manufacturing and transportation. He recently published the Handbook of HR Metrics and has co-authored a volume on healthcare communication and quality. He has written approximately 100 articles for various research and professional publications, and previously served as Associate Editor for the Journal of Systems Improvement.

Dr. Bush holds a PhD in Psychology from Purdue University, an MA in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and a BA in Math and Psychology from the University of South Florida. He has also earned certificates in Human Resources and Project Management from Villanova University and a Divinity Leadership Academy Certificate from the Pennsylvania State University – Great Valley Graduate Center. He was  certified by the Goldratt Institute as an Academic Jonah in the Theory of Constraints.


Lisabeth E. Capozzi, MS - Lisabeth has over 20 years of experience in the field of training and development in Fortune 500 companies in technology, communications, banking, manufacturing and engineering.  Ms. Capozzi served as Director of Human Resources for Comcast in York and Lebanon from 2006 - 2012.  She also served as Training & Organizational Development Manager at companies in Central Pennsylvania from 1998 - 2006.

Throughout her career, Lisabeth has developed and provided cutting edge training to managers, professionals, and downsized individuals throughout the P.A. and N.J. region.  She founded a local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management in Central P.A., serving several years as Chapter President, and was also a founding member and Co-Chair for the York Business Diversity Consortium.

Lisabeth holds a B.A. in Psychology from Bucknell University; a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology concentrated in Organizational Psychology from Villanova University; and is presently pursuing her doctoral degree in Adult Education at Penn State Harrisburg.  Her current research interests include organizational creativity, creating meaning in higher education through arts based knowing, and complexity science.

Lisabeth has volunteered within the community her entire adult life, primarily serving children and youth, including performing the past 7 years as a regular actor for a children's ministry and the past two years as a Dramatic Interpretation Coach for the Bible Baptist School Forensics Team.

Christopher Castille, PhD, is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Human Resource Development and Psychology at Villanova University, and is the newest addition to our faculty in HRD. Mr. Castille is currently working towards the completion of his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, which is where he received his M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He received his B.S. in Psychology from Louisiana State University.

Mr. Castille has also consulted for a number of organizations, including CenturyLink, Inc., Libby Glass, Inc., Drum Corps International, as well as numerous departments at Louisiana Tech University. Currently he conducts research and teaches courses on Organizational Psychology, HR Metrics and Research, and Organizational Change Management in Villanova’s HRD master’s program.




Lawrence Cozzens, PhD – Dr. Cozzens is an experienced learning and organization development professional with expertise in online learning. He is adept at building learning communities and teams, facilitating group interactions and delivering engaging lectures both in person and online. Dr. Cozzens has served in a variety of roles throughout his career, including Performance Consultant and Regional Training Manager at McKesson, Organization Development Consultant at SAP, Organization Development Manager at SmithKline Beecham, Account Manager at Zenger-Miller and HR Generalist at CIGNA.  Dr. Cozzens earned the PHR when a generalist and recently passed the SPHR exam.  

Dr. Cozzens earned his PhD in Human and Organization Development from Fielding Graduate University. He also has an MS in Human Resource Development from Villanova University and a BS in Business Administration from Drexel University. 


Maureen Curley, MS – Ms. Curley is a Training Analyst at PJM Interconnection, LLC. She received her MS degree in Human Resource Development, an MA degree in Liberal Studies and a BA degree in Psychology from Villanova University.


Barbara Lee Davidson, PhD, MBA – Dr. Davidson is a Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness Executive and Consultant with significant successes designing and implementing programs across all functional areas of HR and OE (compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition/development, Six Sigma, culture change, organizational development/effectiveness and change management). Her strength is in recognizing and acting on opportunities to align and integrate HR and OE processes with operational business processes to optimize achievement of business and culture goals and build strong infrastructures for the future.

In addition to her consulting activities for both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, Dr. Davidson participates with the Board of the Philadelphia HR Planning Society as an active member of the Programs Committee in developing thought-leadership events for HR and Line Leaders.

Dr. Davidson earned her PhD in Group Processes and Adult Education, and her MBA in Industrial Relations and Organizational Behavior, from Temple University.


Paul DeCecco, M.S. HRD, MS Counseling is a Talent Management Specialist at Arkema in King of Prussia, PA.  While at Arkema, he has had project work in employee engagement, management of the Online Learning Management System and also manages the Education Assistance Program for Arkema.  In addition to these responsibilities, Paul also is involved in the succession planning and talent review processes. 

Paul is a graduate of the Villanova Human Resource Development Program  and also served as a Graduate Assistant during is time at Villanova.  Paul also holds a Master of Science in Counseling from West Chester University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Temple University. 





Jodi Dickinson, MS – Ms. Dickinson has worked in the field of Human Resources for more than 17 years and is currently the Associate Vice President of Human Resources for ARAMARK, headquartered in Philadelphia.  Judith joined ARAMARK in 2010 after serving as Vice President of Human Resources for Laureate Education.  Prior to Laureate, Ms. Dickinson was in escalating human resources leadership positions at Arkema Inc., Campbell Soup Company, and SIEMENS.  Ms. Dickinson has previous teaching experience and has been a guest speaker at HR conferences and symposiums.  Also, she is currently on the Board of Directors with CityLit Project. 

Ms. Dickinson received her BS degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, earned her MS degree in Human Resource Development from Villanova University, and has obtained a certification in Labor Relations from Cornell University and holds her Professional Human Resource certification.




Angela Francesco, JD, SPHR, GPHR – Ms. Francesco is a teacher and consultant with extensive experience in human resource management. In addition to leading certificate and degree courses at Villanova University, she is a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton business school. Ms. Francesco was previously employed as Vice President of Human Resources for a pharmaceutical company, where she created and implemented HR strategy for the organization’s research and development operations in the U.S., U.K. and France. She also served as Vice President of Human Resources for the nonprofit MCP Hahnemann University, where she was responsible for recruiting, policy development, employee relations, and training and development.

Ms. Francesco received her JD from Temple University School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.


John Garber, MS, SPHR, CSP – Mr. Garber is Vice President at The Addis Group, LLC, where he specializes in human capital, enterprise risk management and learning & development services across a variety of industry sectors. His previous roles include President of Garber & Associates and Vice President of Garno & Addis.

Mr. Garber’s experience includes developing human resources strategies, overseeing HR department operations, coaching, employment policies and procedures, leadership and team development, risk management audits ,safety manuals and risk-management procedures; conducting risk assessments for HR/employment practices; assisting clients with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections; and developing and implementing crisis and emergency management plans. He also supports the learning and development function by developing training programs and working with clients on aligning learning and development with business strategy.  He has published numerous articles on human resources, risk management and safety topics and is a contributing author to the Employment Labor Law Audit (ELLA).

Mr. Garber holds an MS in Human Resource Development from Villanova University, Post Masters in Advanced Human Resources Applications from Villanova University, an MS in Training and Organization Development from Saint Joseph’s University, and a BS in Occupational Health and Safety from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. His certifications include Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Kolbe® Consultant,  and he is a licensed insurance broker in life, health, disability, fix annuities, and property & casualty lines.


Brendan D. Hennessy, J.D. – Mr. Hennessy serves as an adjunct professor teaching employment law.  In addition to teaching, he actively practices law on behalf of employers and employees.  In this regard, he owns a law practice and is “of counsel” to an in-house defense law firm.   In the past ten years, he has handled hundreds of cases representing clients in court as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC).    Mr. Hennessy also serves as a pro bono mediator with the EEOC.  Mr. Hennessy has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in the area of Employment Law by Philadelphia Magazine in 2012 and 2013.

Mr. Hennessy received his JD from Temple University School of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Saint Joseph’s University.  He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.


Deborah J. Hormann, MS, PHR, CHCR - Ms. Hormann is a human resource professional with over 30 years of experience working within a wide variety of industries and sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing and real estate. Her expertise lies in recruitment, training, management, employee relations, career coaching, compliance, project management and leadership development.

Ms. Hormann is currently a Sr. Talent Strategist; her client work focuses on talent management and leadership development. She has been employed at The Children’s Hospital for 12 years, and prior to that with various Philadelphia-area healthcare systems. Ms. Hormann has served in a variety of leadership roles in human resources.

Ms. Hormann holds her Master’s degree in Human Organizational Science/Human Resource Development from Villanova University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Temple University. She is an adjunct faculty professor at Villanova University in the Graduate Studies in Human Resource Development program. Ms. Hormann is an active member of the Philadelphia Area Association of Healthcare Recruiters. She is also an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management and National Association for Health Care Recruitment. In addition, she is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.



Philip Kenney, MS - Philip Kenney serves as Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer for Bisk Education, Inc. in Tampa, FL and is responsible for corporate-wide strategic HR initiatives. His previous roles include Vice President Human Resources for Vitality Foodservice, Vice President Human Resources for Lykes Bros., and various Regional HR roles with Owens Illinois. Mr. Kenney’s HR career extends over 29 years in manufacturing, consumer goods, transportation and education with specific experience in HR regulatory compliance, benefits administration, talent management, human capital development, labor relations and strategic HR development.

Mr. Kenney earned his MS in Human Resources Management from Florida Institute of Technology and his BS in Human Resources Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.





Lyle Leritz, PhD - Dr. Leritz is a Research Manager at the Economic Research Institute. Lyle has worked as a researcher and product manager at ERI since 2004 focusing on salary surveys, executive compensation, cost of living, and job analysis.

Dr. Leritz received his Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. He also received his BA in Psychology and MS focused on Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistical Analysis from Western Washington University.




Diane Lirio, SPHR is the VP of Compensation at the Bancorp.  Prior to that, she was with  with Vanguard since 1995. Previously she worked in the compensation field for a number of Philadelphia-area firms, including QVC, Albert Einstein Hospital, and Atlantic Financial. Diane currently serves on the Board of Directors of PEBA (Penjerdel Employee Benefits and Compensation Association) and was president of the board in 2011 and 2012. 

Diane holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a graduate degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked in the compensation field for over 25 years and is SPHR-certified. Ms. Lirio has been an adjunct faculty member of Villanova University’s graduate-level Human Resource Development program since 2001.




Allen McMillin M.S. HRD, PHR – Mr. McMillin is an experienced human resources professional and adjunct faculty professor. He currently works as the Director of Human Resources at Crozer-Keystone Health System and oversees the strategic and daily operations of the Human Resource Department. Mr. McMillin’s previous role was with LifeBridge Health as the Manager of Compensation, where he was responsible for partnering with managers to make strategic decisions about compensation and focusing on HR metrics to maintain market competitiveness.

Mr. McMillin earned his MS in Human Resource Development from the Villanova University Program in Spring 2001. He received a BS in Labor and Industrial Relations from Pennsylvania State University.






Joseph Micucci, MA, MS is currently Manager, Health Improvement Strategies at Thomas Jefferson University.  He is an active practitioner who has worked in the field of healthcare human resources for over 30 years. Over that time period he has served on the Pennsylvania Governor’s Healthcare Leadership Council, the Governor’s Allied Health Taskforce and as the lead practitioner with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Healthcare Industry Partnership.  In the healthcare arena he served on the local, state, and national boards and most recently, the executive board for healthcare human resources of the American Hospital Association (ASHHRA).  He has been recognized for leadership a number of times over the years and was the named “Distinguished Human Resource Professional of the Year” by the Society of Healthcare Human Resource Professionals of Pennsylvania.  Together with the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania, he worked on legislation bill granting immunity to individuals giving references and is working with the American Hospital Association on certification certificate in Healthcare Human Resources.

Prior to his appointment as an Adjunct Instructor at Villanova, Joe taught in the School of General Studies at Thomas Jefferson University and in the Business Department at Immaculata University. He holds two degrees from Villanova, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and a Master of Arts Degree in Education, and a Master of Science Degree in Human Resources from Widener University.    

Anabel Pilcher

Anabel Pichler is the VP of Compensation and Benefits at Armstrong World Industries, where she is responsible for thinking differently about Armstrong’s Total Rewards and developing innovative strategy, design, and communication of worldwide Compensation and Benefits programs.

Prior to joining Armstrong, Anabel had enterprise-wide leadership of DuPont’s executive compensation programs. There, she was responsible for the strategic direction and execution of executive programs for DuPont’s top 500 – 700 executives on a global basis, including base pay, global annual and long-term incentive compensation programs, as well as a wide variety of executive benefit and perquisite programs. 

Before DuPont, Anabel was an Assistant Vice President with Aon Consulting’s Compensation Consulting Group, and she headed the Global Compensation Function at Hercules Incorporated, a specialty chemical company in Wilmington, Delaware. Anabel has over 20 years of experience in Total Rewards and Human Resources, both in consulting and corporate environments, in public companies and privately-held companies.  

Joe Piergiovanni, M.Ed, SPHR, is a learning and development professional with over 20 years of human resources management and development experience. He has held leadership positions in the manufacturing, technology, and financial services industries. Joe’s areas of interest include: instructional design, rapid design, and Agile for Learning development. Joe received his M.Ed. in Instructional Systems from Penn State and his undergraduate degree in Communication Arts from Villanova. He is an avid supporter of Wildcat Basketball and Football.



Richard Powell, MBA - Mr. Powell is a financial professional with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Some of his past positions include, Vice President, Controller, Accounting Manager, Information Systems Coordinator, Senior Financial Representative and Trainer.  He has taught in the on campus program since 1999 and in the distance learning program since 2010. In addition to that, Mr. Powell has taught Finance at Ursinus College.  Mr. Powell has a Master’s degree in Finance and a BS in Economics from Widener University.



Katina Sawyer, Ph.D. – Dr. Sawyer is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the M.S. in Human Resource Development program.  Dr. Sawyer teaches both Introduction to Human Resources and Organizational Psychology at the graduate level, as well as Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Psychology of Gender and Sexuality at the undergraduate level.  Dr. Sawyer recently earned her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Women’s Studies at the Pennsylvania State University and earned her B.S. in Psychology from Villanova University. 

Dr. Sawyer also has extensive experience in HR consulting, having previously worked with SHL-Previsor, as well as being a team member on numerous independent consulting projects.


Stuart Smith, Ph.D. is the founder and President of Targeted Performance Solutions, LLC (TPS),  a management consulting firm of senior level practitioners dedicated to helping organizations enhance performance and bottom-line results, and create and sustain their desired culture at the individual, team, and organizational levels.  For the past twenty years, Dr. Smith has been adjunct professor in the Human Resource Development Program of Villanova University’s Graduate School.  Stu holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, a Masters of Public Health in health planning and evaluation, and a Masters in Individual and Group Psychodynamics each from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also trained in Lean Six Sigma. While with E&Y, he served as change management subject matter expert (SME) and member of the firm’s national organizational change-management (OCM) practitioners planning group. During his tenure at IBM, he was recognized for his collaborative client approach, engagement results and thought leadership by receiving the extra-ordinary teaming award. 



Matthew B. White, MBA, SPHR is the Director of Human Resources Employee at Aqua America, a leading provider of drinking water and wastewater services for nearly 3 million people in 10 states.  Matt has specialized experience and knowledge in the functional areas of Employee/Labor Relations, HRIS/Payroll Systems, Compensation/Classification, Recruitment, Benefits, Budgeting, Training and Change Management.  He possesses a strong background in counseling, coaching and mentoring employees, Managers and Company Officers. 

He received his Bachelors of Science degree from Mary Washington College and received his MBA from Villanova University.
